Busy, busy busy. Hands tingling tells me a very busy December. With Horsehair everywhere it is the perfect festive period for me. Handmaking all the orders makes me feel like Santa but with no Elf to help me.
Many #bespoke designs which I love creating. #Resin colours mixed. Coffee was flowing. Felt like a machine at times on auto pilot. Up early, bed late to complete them all. Receiving such beautiful emails and texts thanking me for all my hard work. I love my work…. Sad at times as the horses, dogs, cats and humans are no longer on earth but in people’s hearts and #memories.
Camera ready, photo light box on standby to get a permanent reminder of the beautiful work I have created.
Tools down on the 24th as all orders complete in time for #CHRISTMAS #gifts. Postman was relieved I’m sure. A few couriers delivered Horsehair and of course hand delivered orders kept arriving. It’s so lovely meeting customers and to hear all about their much loved neddies and families. To see the smile on collection day is priceless.
So another mad month of December is complete. Turkey cooking, sprouts boiling, mulled wine flowing, sloe gin being enjoyed by many (not me)!, daft games being set up and then its present opening time. Whether in a organza bag or gift box I read lots of happy tears were shared with sentimental smiles of the creation now being worn or used. Feeling close to the animal or human hair or ashes supplied for each individuals order.
Whilst I’m having a magical day there are many surprises being enjoyed by the lucky reciepant of a Kemp Horsehair Jewellery piece. Purchased with love. Handmade with love. Given with love. Christmas is for love, life, memories, fun and I am so very very proud to be part of so many people’s special day.
Here’s to a prosperous and HAPPY 2019.
